About Jane

In an upright position, Jane Stevenson can reach the dizzy height of 5 foot 2 inches, or 145 cm to be politically correct!

In her position as owner of Jane Stevenson & Associates, she drives a successful business with an impressive list of clients who continue to work with her on a diverse range of assignments, from strategic planning, project scoping, conflict resolution to organisational vision, team values and dynamics.

Essentially Jane is passionate about growing people and unlocking the full potential of individuals and teams through strategy, motivation and effective communication.

So how does 5' 2" of Scottish descent manage to stay on top?

Apart from her business acumen gained from 20++(++) years in advertising, sales/marketing and the recruitment industry, Jane uses sheer guts, determination and passion.

She has a natural facilitation style and is not intimidated by rank, people or …. in fact by anything - other than big spiders!

By challenging thinking, Jane is able to drill down to explore real issues and encourage people to open up and express real needs... and is never afraid to ask “why?”.

Jane is currently a partner in two other businesses:

  • Frankly Speaking - a local agency representing local talent, offering inspirational and business presentations on various topics of interest

  • Treasure or Trash – a recycling business offering quality pre-owned clothing at excellent prices.  This venture offers her the ability to fulfil a personal need to assist those less fortunate through donations to charity on a monthly basis.

Apart from running her businesses, Jane serves on the Board and is a member of EXCO at the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber.  When she was elected Deputy President in 2010, she made history by being the first woman to hold an office bearing position in the history of the Chamber.

Jane is a past chairman for Businesswomen's Association: a platform to grow and inspire women in business, and served on the national Board for 6 years.

She is a past Board member of St Dominic’s Priory, Aiesec (Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University) and Childline.

Being an ardent fan of Leo Buscaglia, you may be subjected to a hug or 10!
